Hello everyone,
I was wondering if any municipal clerk state associations have a policy for sponsorships, such as vendors and others who help to underwrite the cost of events and publications via advertisements in the newsletter, on the website, sponsoring areception at the annual conference, etc.
The Maine Town & City Clerks’ Association (MTCCA) needs to develop language for such a policy. Specially we are looking for language that would prohibit asponsor if their financial support might create a perception of influence or aviolation of ethics or integrity. Examples might be a political organization(state Democratic or Republican party), an organization working on a petitioninitiative, etc.
